Bio: Ned Thornhill was born and raised in Charleston. Growing up on the water, Ned spent his childhood in the creeks and rivers of the Lowcountry. After graduation from Clemson University, he served as an Army engineer for two years. After completion of the Army, Ned returned home and took over operation of the family business until it was sold in 1981. After a brief retirement, he received his real estate license in 1982. In 1986 he went to Brays Island where he worked for three years before joining The Huffines Company in 1990. Ned is a multi-million dollar producer and expert in the sale of country, waterfront, and recreational properties, while still placing an emphasis on conservation and the lowcountry way of life that has made our area so popular. It was this success and love for the area that led Ned along with his son Frank to establish Thornhill Properties in 2002.
